The Workplace Relations Commission awarded a woman €99,074 after upholding her complaints under employment and working-time legislation, including unfair dismissal. The award comprised €63,362 for lost earnings, €30,000 for loss of access to a company car, €3,712 for not receiving a contract of employment and €2,000 under working-time legislation.

The woman told the WRC that her partner dismissed her from her company secretary role after she confronted him about using Grindr and an escort website during a family holiday. The claims were upheld in an anonymised decision; the adjudicator said the businessman did not attend the hearing or respond to the complaints.
