Woman summonsed for Offaly uninsured driving did not appear in court

A WOMAN accused of uninsured driving and other offences did not come to Tullamore District Court because she was concerned about missing work.
Brian Duffy, solicitor, told Judge Andrew Cody that his client Zita Izabella Bardosi (52), The Sycamores, Edenderry, was not in court to face summonses and had told him she would lose her job.
Judge Cody replied: “She'll lose her licence so, fairly quick.”
Ms Bardosi is accused of uninsured driving and using a vehicle without a certificate of roadworthiness (CRW) at JKL Street, Edenderry on May 5 last year.
The woman was also summonsed by Garda Pat McGee for failing to produce an insurance certificate and a CRW.
A separate summons from Garda John McCrossan alleged Ms Bardosi used a false instrument at her address in The Sycamores, Edenderry on April 27 last.
Mr Duffy applied for an adjournment in the case of Garda McGee's summonses and indicated there would be a plea of guilty to the summons from Garda McCrossan.
Judge Cody granted an adjournment to October 7.
