An unnamed woman charged with murdering a two-year-old child was anonymised by the Central Criminal Court at a hearing on 8 February 2021.

The charge concerns the child’s death in the south of the country on 5 July 2019. The court postponed the trial because Covid-19 restrictions meant new juries were not being sworn, and the woman was due to be called again on 10 June for a new trial date.
