A Bray woman who previously admitted damaging Tánaiste Simon Harris’s constituency office has been granted bail

Andrea Ogilvy (43), of Wolfe Tone Square South, Bray, appeared at a sitting of Bray District Court following the execution of a bench warrant.

At a previous sitting, Ogilvy pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive and insulting behaviour, one count of failing to comply with gardaí and two counts of criminal damage.

On July 22, 2025, Ms Ogilvy was arrested after she threw an unknown object through the front window of Mr Harris’s constituency office on Quinsborough Road, causing more than €300 worth of damage. After damaging the Tánaiste’s office, she proceeded to damage a shop sign.

The matter was previously adjourned before sentencing to allow the accused to receive mental health treatment.

However, at the most recent sitting, her solicitor, Michael O’Connor, told the court that his client is now facing a charge of failing to appear and is currently awaiting a psychological report.

Judge Paula Cullinane granted Ms Ogilvy bail on the condition that she reside at Newcastle Hospital to “receive the help she needs”.
