A Wicklow man has been sent forward for trial after more than €50,000 worth of cannabis was seized during a joint Revenue and Garda operation.

Aaron Moorehouse, of Copper Beach Grove, Bray, appeared before Bray District Court charged with one count of possession of cannabis for the purpose of sale or supply.

It is alleged that, on February 16, 2026, at his home address, the accused had cannabis in his possession.

Sergeant Mick Canavan informed the court that Mr Moorehouse was arrested as part of a controlled delivery involving more than €50,000 worth of cannabis.

The investigation formed part of an intelligence-led operation involving Revenue Customs Service, the Garda National Organised Crime Bureau, the Bray Drugs Unit and detective branches from several jurisdictions across Wicklow.

Judge David Kennedy declined jurisdiction, meaning Mr Moorehouse will be sent forward to Wicklow Circuit Criminal Court, which has greater sentencing powers.

Mr Moorehouse was also advised that he must inform his solicitor of the proceedings, as due to the ongoing withdrawal of criminal legal aid services, his legal representatives are currently unable to act.
