By Eimear Byrne

This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Wendy Whitty was released from custody by the High Court on 8 March 2019 after being jailed for contempt of court. She had failed to comply with undertakings not to interfere with the receivership of eight properties owned by her and her husband. Whitty apologised and gave a sworn undertaking not to interfere with the properties, while also agreeing to tell tenants to pay rent to the receiver. The receiver maintained that there had been clear interference, including demands that some tenants pay rent to another company. Whitty did not accept that she had interfered after giving the undertakings.
