Web Summit shareholders settle civil claims in High Court

By Fionn Kelly

This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

The Web Summit shareholder dispute ended in a settlement announced at the High Court on 27 March 2025, after the judge urged the parties to resolve it.

Under the settlement, Paddy Cosgrave agreed to acquire Daire Hickey’s and David Kelly’s shareholdings in Manders Terrace, Web Summit’s trading company; the sale price had not been made public by 28 March.

The five cases had been expected to run for nine weeks, but the proceedings lasted seven days. The report said the dispute was listed for a further hearing on 29 April, expected to be procedural, and noted that execution of the deal could still present a complication.
