An unnamed woman was granted permission in the High Court to challenge refusal of the 221+ cervical cancer care package, in proceedings reported on 18 January 2023.
She claims she was wrongly excluded after earlier cervical smear results were allegedly misread. The respondents said she did not meet the package criteria, was not among the women identified in the HSE audit and had not taken part in the review process.
Mr Justice Charles Meenan granted permission on an ex-parte basis, and the matter was adjourned to a date next month.
