Unnamed mother’s child-cruelty sentence replaced on appeal

An unnamed 38-year-old woman had pleaded guilty to five child-cruelty counts at Trim Circuit Criminal Court.

The Court of Appeal quashed her original sentence and imposed a fully suspended two-year sentence after considering rehabilitation evidence.
