Two men jailed for six years over disposal of Keane Mulready-Woods’ remains

Stephen Carberry and Glen Bride were each sentenced to six years in prison for disposing of the remains of murdered teenager Keane Mulready-Woods. Carberry’s term is consecutive to the drug dealing sentence he is serving and will begin when that sentence ends in 2028. Bride’s sentence began on 16 February 2026.
Carberry admitted collecting two bags containing Keane’s remains from a house in Drogheda and dumping one in Dublin. Bride drove the car containing Keane’s head and feet before setting it alight in north inner-city Dublin. The court said Bride’s role was less significant than Carberry’s.
Ms Justice Karen O'Connor said it was difficult to imagine a more egregious way to interfere with a murder investigation, which caused immeasurable grief to Keane’s family. His mother, Elizabeth Mulready, said in a victim impact statement that the treatment of her son’s body had caused trauma she would carry for the rest of her life.
