Tom Morrin wins appeal over contempt of court order

By Fionn Kelly

This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Tom Morrin won an appeal concerning contempt proceedings in the Court of Appeal on 12 April 2019. The court ruled that he had not received fair procedures before an attachment and committal order was made over his failure to vacate land and remove machinery and animals.

The appeal court set aside the procedural outcome and directed that the matter return immediately to the High Court Chancery List before another judge. It said the decision should not be used to delay determination of the contempt motion or any application requiring him to leave the property.
