This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Tiarnan O’Mahoney, Bernard Daly and Aoife Maguire were on trial at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court before Judge Patrick McCartan and a jury. The proceedings were reported on 3 July 2015.

The three former Anglo Irish Bank officials had pleaded not guilty to seven alleged offences. The alleged offences concerned conduct in 2003 and 2004. The prosecution alleged that they helped hide offshore accounts connected to former Anglo chairman Sean FitzPatrick from Revenue.

All three were accused of trying to delete references to two accounts in the name of John Peter O’Toole, Sean FitzPatrick’s brother-in-law, from Anglo’s Core Banking System. Bernard Daly and Tiarnan O’Mahoney also denied omitting John Peter O’Toole’s name from a list supplied to the Revenue Commissioners of people holding non-resident accounts worth more than €100,000 in 1995. Tiarnan O’Mahoney and Aoife Maguire further denied attempting to delete six other accounts connected to Sean FitzPatrick from the system.

The trial heard that Tiarnan O’Mahoney requested a team to help Revenue audit tax compliance at the bank in 2003. Former Anglo fraud prevention officer Patrick Peake said the team gathered bank documents and declarations and printed account information for Bernard Daly, the company secretary and head of compliance. Aoife Maguire was among the team’s members.

Patrick Peake continued his evidence on 3 July 2015. The report described day 13 of the trial and said he was nearing the end of his evidence.
