Former Anglo Irish Bank chief operations officer Tiarnan O'Mahoney was on trial at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court alongside former company secretary Bernard Daly and Aoife Maguire. The proceedings were reported on 30 June 2015, covering day 10 of the trial.

The three have pleaded not guilty to seven alleged offences. The alleged offences were committed in 2003 and 2004.

All three were accused of trying to delete references to two accounts in the name of John Peter O'Toole, former chairman Sean FitzPatrick's brother-in-law, from Anglo's Core Banking System.

Bernard Daly and Tiarnan O'Mahoney also denied omitting John Peter O'Toole from a list provided to the Revenue Commissioners of people who held non-resident accounts worth more than €100,000 in 1995. Tiarnan O'Mahoney and Aoife Maguire further denied attempting to delete six other accounts connected to Sean FitzPatrick.

On 30 June 2015, former Anglo fraud officer Patrick Peake told prosecuting counsel Dominic McGinn SC that records showed Tiarnan O'Mahoney and Sean FitzPatrick jointly borrowed US$1.2 million through Lock Ltd/Susie Ltd and Carnahalla Ltd. The report dated the share deal to 1997.

The bridging loan funded the purchase of 75,000 shares at US$16 each in Spiros. Patrick Peake said it was for up to two months before the companies received finance from private bank Guinness and Mahon.

Patrick Peake also described changes to account details made after the accounts had closed. The trial continued with his evidence before Judge Patrick McCartan and a jury of six men and six women.
