A Central Criminal Court jury returned no verdicts on the rape charges against three defendants on 5 April 2023.

The jury returned disagreed verdicts on all eight counts after a three-week trial and just over nine hours of deliberations. The defendants had each pleaded not guilty to rape; charges also included sexual assault and oral rape. The offences were alleged to have occurred at a hotel car park in Leinster on 20 December 2017. Justice Melanie Greally adjourned the case for mention to 28 April.
