Thomas Doolin’s age discrimination case against eir was settled, reported on 21 March 2024.

In December 2023, the Workplace Relations Commission ordered eir to reinstate Doolin after finding age discrimination. The order entitled him to salary for the period he was out of work from 1 July to 30 November 2023; no compensation was awarded.

Eir had said it would appeal the ruling to the Labour Court. After the settlement, the company said it would make no further comment.
