Unnamed teenage boy’s rape and sexual assault detention sentence suspended

An unnamed boy, now 17, had his four-year detention sentence fully suspended at the Central Criminal Court.

He pleaded guilty to rape, sexual assault and causing a child to watch sexual activity; the offences occurred when he was 13 and 14.

The case was recorded in February 2022.
