A former Laois tattoo and piercing parlour owner has been jailed for eight years after sexually assaulting three customers, including a girl who was 14 at the time. Paul Kelleher, 61, was convicted of three counts of sexual assault following a trial at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court. The assaults took place at Newfaze Ink in Portlaoise between August and December 2015 and in January 2018.
The court imposed a nine-year sentence, with the final year suspended on strict conditions. Kelleher received three consecutive three-year sentences; the suspended year is conditional on attending counselling to reduce his risk of sexual reoffending. He maintains his innocence.
