Serhat Aksakal’s sexual harassment complaint was found not well founded by a Workplace Relations Commission adjudicator, reported on 30 June 2025.

The adjudicator found that the incident had sexual undertones and that Aksakal had made out a prima facie case of discrimination. She accepted that the employer responded appropriately and had taken reasonable steps to prevent such incidents.

She noted that the employer’s investigation included ten meetings with up to seven staff members.
