Sean Coffey alleged he was dismissed after reporting a colleague’s alleged hair-pulling at the Workplace Relations Commission, in a report published on 15 October 2024.
He claimed his former employer, Azon Point Partners Ltd trading as Azon Recruitment Group, breached the Protected Disclosures Act 2014 and the Unfair Dismissals Act 1977. The company denied the claims and said he was dismissed for performance reasons.
The WRC adjourned the case for a further hearing in 2025, with the date to be confirmed.
