Robert Keogh’s Covid layoff claims rejected by WRC

By Saoirse Doyle

This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Robert Keogh’s claims over unpaid wages and his employment terms during Covid layoffs were rejected by the Workplace Relations Commission after hearings on 14 February and 18 May 2022.

The claims concerned his layoff from Swissport Ireland, which provides ground services at Dublin Airport.

The adjudication officer found that Keogh’s contract allowed unpaid layoff and that the company had exercised its discretion reasonably.

Both complaints were found not well founded in a decision dated 30 June 2022.
