Roadbridge workers win Irish redundancy pay top-up
This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.
Roadbridge workers won increased redundancy payments at the Workplace Relations Commission, SIPTU reported on 30 January 2023.
SIPTU said its representatives argued that workers temporarily transferred to the UK should receive Irish redundancy entitlements because they had worked longer in Ireland. The successful minimum-notice claim also resulted in up to eight weeks of additional wages.
Former Roadbridge worker Donal Ruane was among the complainants.
