Lavickis was charged with murdering Akadiusz Czajkowski on 1 November 2016 at Rue Noyal Chatillon, Townspark, Longford. Mr Czajkowski was stabbed outside a shop near Longford Shopping Centre.
Prosecutor Patrick McGrath told the jury that, according to the prosecution, the manslaughter plea did not meet the facts of the case.
