By Ruairí Dolan

This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Paul Codd was committed to Mountjoy Prison for contempt of court after refusing to cooperate with bankruptcy inquiries in the High Court, reported on 16 July 2015. He was arrested in Co Wexford and brought before the court on a warrant.

Ms Justice Caroline Costello committed him until 27 July, or until he was willing to purge his contempt. Codd had refused to answer questions from official assignee Chris Lehane about his assets, despite repeated requests from the judge. He had previously been briefly jailed in December 2014 over alleged non-compliance with the bankruptcy process, before securing release after providing a statement of affairs and promising to cooperate.
