Patrick Harty was resentenced to six-and-a-half years’ imprisonment, with the final two-and-a-half years suspended, by the Court of Appeal, reported on 15 October 2018.

The sentence followed his guilty plea to assault causing serious harm at a Waterford county house party on New Year’s Eve 2014.
