This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Ogaga Ogheneyoma was discharged from the indictment at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court on 17 June 2024 after paying a €500 fine for handling the proceeds of crime. Judge Orla Crowe directed the discharge under Section 100 of the Criminal Justice Act 2006.

Ogheneyoma pleaded guilty to the charge. The court heard that more than €31,000 had been transferred into his AIB account in an invoice redirect fraud, but there was no evidence he was involved in the fraud; his barrister said he was paid €500 to allow the account to be used.

Judge Crowe had nominated a 12-month sentence and deferred it, ordering Ogheneyoma not to come to garda attention and to pay the fine. The proceedings were reported on 17 June 2024, after the court was told he had met those conditions.
