Noreen O'Shea and Jessica McLoughlin restrained over blockade

By Tadhg O'Sullivan

This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Noreen O'Shea and Jessica McLoughlin were temporarily restrained by the High Court on 29 February 2024 over alleged obstruction of a refugee accommodation site in Newhall, Naas.

The order also applied to unidentified persons accused of blocking the entrances. Total Experience Limited, trading as Pastures New Accommodation, said the blockade was disrupting construction of emergency facilities intended for Ukrainian refugee families.

The company sought an injunction while the project was being built; the judge made the interim order returnable to a sitting the following week, with liberty to return sooner if needed.

This case may have concluded differently. The outcome has not yet been confirmed by a public source we could find.
