This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

The Disclosures Tribunal was hearing evidence about the treatment of Garda Nicholas Keogh. The proceedings were reported on 26 November 2019. The tribunal was investigating whether he was targeted, harassed, undermined or bullied after he made a protected disclosure on 8 May 2014.

Keogh alleged that a senior member of the Athlone drugs unit, identified as Garda A, was in an improper relationship with a heroin dealer identified as Ms B.

Civilian witness Olivia O'Neill said two gardaí came looking for her after she visited Athlone Garda Station. She said Garda Tom Higgins asked whether she was afraid to make a statement about Keogh. O'Neill also said she had been told it was a waste of time going to gardaí about Ms B.
