Mark Fagan received a four-year sentence, suspended in full, for dangerous driving and related offences at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
The offences included dangerous driving, endangerment, driving without insurance and cannabis possession during a July 2020 pursuit in which Fagan reached up to 140km/h. A second pursuit on July 16 involved dangerous driving, drug driving and cannabis possession; he reached up to 160km/h and crashed.
The judge suspended the sentence because of Fagan’s progress, subject to conditions including two years’ engagement with the Probation Service, drug testing and a four-year driving ban.
