Mansoor Uddin’s case was adjourned at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court for preparation of a psychological report. He pleaded guilty to one sexual assault on 30 January 2016 and two sexual assaults on 16 February 2016. The proceedings were reported on 9 April 2019.
Judge Sinéad Ní Chulacháin adjourned the case to 8 May 2019 for sentence and remanded Uddin, a taxi driver from Lucan, on continuing bail. A bail condition barred female passengers from sitting in the front seat of his taxi.
Gardaí used CCTV footage, a public service vehicle database and a computer-generated likeness to identify Uddin. The report said GPS information also confirmed that he had travelled the routes described by the three women.
In an update, gardaí said that following Uddin’s conviction in February 2019, his Small Public Service Vehicle Licence was revoked with immediate effect on 28 February 2019.
