Lisa Lynch was sentenced to 18 months in prison for stealing €460,000 at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, reported on 12 December 2017. The money was taken from Bibby Financial Services between March and October 2013 through 93 false invoices created in the names of eight companies.

Lynch, a former director of AGL Logistics, pleaded guilty and admitted falsifying emails and invoices. The court heard that money was transferred to a personal account and used partly to improve cash flow and keep her business operating.

Judge Martin Nolan said Lynch had no base motives and described the offending as a misguided attempt to save her company. He adjourned the start of the sentence until after Christmas and ordered Lynch to surrender to the court on 11 January.
