Letterkenny court grants destruction order for burned-out BMW
A District Court in Donegal has granted a destruction order for a vehicle that was found burned out in Letterkenny last year.
Letterkenny District Court heard that the black BMW was found in a wooded area in Glenkeogh, Letterkenny on November 6, 2025.
Garda Sergeant Jim Collins told the court that Gardai attended the scene. The vehicle was entirely destroyed, Sergeant Collins said.
The court heard that there was no registration plate on the car and upon checking the chassis number the last registered owner made no claim on the vehicle.
Sergeant Collins asked that the car, which has been in storage since then, be forfeited to the State for disposal.
Judge Emile Daly granted the order.
