Kerry man charged with 35 counts related to rape and sexual assault
The KerrymanA North Kerry man in his sixties has been charged with 35 counts including sexual assault, rape and defilement of a child aged 17.
He appeared before Judge David Waters at Tralee District Court last Wednesday in jeans and a dark blue sweater, and was represented by solicitor Brendan Ahern.
The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with alleged offences committed around Kerry and three other counties, between June 2017 and September 2021.
The case was sent forward for trial at Central Criminal Court.
