Kathleen Moore Walsh was awarded €25,000 for victimisation by the Workplace Relations Commission, in a decision dated 7 February 2022.
The Commission found Waterford Institute of Technology victimised her by failing to rerun a 2013 promotion interview process and appointing the successful candidate from it in 2018.
It also found she had not established discrimination on gender grounds. The Commission said a rerun was impractical given the time since the appointment.
