John Delaney’s application for a private High Court hearing was adjourned for a week on 24 February 2021 to allow legal submissions to be exchanged.

The application concerns inspection of documents seized from the FAI during an Office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement investigation. Delaney says some material is private or covered by legal professional privilege. The Sunday Times opposed holding the proceedings in camera.

The court is examining privilege claims involving approximately 1,000 documents claimed by the FAI and more than 3,500 claimed by Delaney. The case was due to return the following week.
