Jesus Ramon Rea Rosales was fined €2,500 at Cork Circuit Court on 28 February 2014 after pleading guilty to under-recording monkfish in the Armaven Dos logbook.

The vessel was inspected at Castletownbere, Co Cork, on 5 August 2013, when officers found about 13 tonnes of monkfish onboard, including almost seven tonnes not recorded. The court also ordered the forfeiture of €80,000 representing the assessed value of the catch, plus €12,500 for fishing gear.
