The Workplace Relations Commission ruled for Jennifer Clancy in her penalisation complaint against Templeogue College on 24 June 2024, directing €39,912 in compensation.

Clancy, a former part-time Spanish teacher, complained that the school penalised her after she signed a staff grievance raising health and safety, facilities and student discipline concerns. The school closed its case without presenting witness evidence before the ruling.

Days earlier, former schools chief inspector Eamon Stack denied that the rejection of Clancy’s grievance appeal had been agreed with the Joint Managerial Body. He was questioned at the WRC on 18 June 2024.
