Jason Melia’s explosives possession appeal withdrawn

Jason Melia, 28, of Clondalkin, pleaded guilty to possessing an improvised explosive device at Trim Circuit Court and received three and a half years’ imprisonment, with the final 12 months suspended.

In December 2020, the Court of Appeal granted permission to withdraw the DPP’s sentence appeal.
