Graham Price’s unfair dismissal case was adjourned by the Workplace Relations Commission to a future date, with adjudicating officer Brian Dalton presiding over the proceedings.
Price accused Petrogas Group Ltd, trading as Applegreen, of breaching the Unfair Dismissals Act 1977 and the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Act 1973 after he was dismissed for gross misconduct.
The company said the dismissal followed an investigation and disciplinary hearing, and that the decision was upheld on internal appeal. Price’s lawyers said delays in registering a Polish worker were linked to her lack of a PPS number and administrative difficulties, and rejected any suggestion of deliberate wrongdoing.
The report said Ennis was to continue giving evidence and be cross-examined, while Price was expected to give evidence later. The proceedings were reported on 8 April 2024.
