Ger Hogan and Dylan Hayes have pleaded not guilty to the murder of Shane Murphy at The Grove, Pallasgreen, Co Limerick, on 30 April 2015. The proceedings were reported on 25 April 2017.

Sharon Kelly told the Central Criminal Court that she tried to intervene while her boyfriend was being stabbed. She said Hayes used a screwdriver and Hogan used a knife, and that she was stabbed multiple times in her hands and back.

Ms Kelly said that, after the men left the scene, they tried to instruct her on how to give CPR and stem the flow of blood. She was due to continue giving evidence before Justice Patrick McCarthy and a jury.
