This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

G.M.’s appeal against an Isaac Wunder order in family law proceedings was dismissed by the Supreme Court, reported on 26 January 2026. The case concerned access and maintenance proceedings involving the parties’ child.

The Court affirmed the Court of Appeal’s order and held that courts can make Isaac Wunder orders in family law proceedings. It also confirmed that District and Circuit Courts have power to make such orders within the limits of their jurisdictions.

The Supreme Court found no basis to overturn the order against G.M. and concluded that the respondent had faced repeated unmeritorious litigation at significant financial and personal cost.
