Frankie Murphy and John Molloy: assault convictions quashed

Frankie Murphy, 44, and John Molloy, 33, had their convictions for assault causing harm quashed by the Court of Criminal Appeal.

The convictions followed a Sligo Circuit Criminal Court jury verdict in October 2011; the appeal court found them unsafe.

The case was recorded in February 2014.
