Edward Rooney was jailed for three years for possessing €1.2 million of drugs for sale or supply by the Court of Appeal, reported on 19 January 2015. He had pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to possessing 4.5kg of heroin and 227g of cocaine on 5 April 2012.
