Diane O'Mahony was awarded €23,542.71 gross in unpaid wages by the Workplace Relations Commission after a hearing on 12 August 2022.
The award covered the six-month period from 18 December 2020 to 17 June 2021, when the WRC found the HSE had failed to pay her full-time salary after her three-year job-sharing arrangement ended.
The WRC said O'Mahony met the conditions for returning to full-time employment, including a suitable vacancy and at least three years of job-sharing. It found her pay had not been restored because her manager failed to process it.
The HSE did not attend the hearing. Adjudication officer Louise Boyle found it had proper notice and could have appointed another representative.
The WRC declined to extend the period covered by the claim, finding O'Mahony had not shown reasonable cause for filing later. A separate employment equality complaint was withdrawn.
