David Nevin was sentenced to three and a half years, suspended in full, for harassment at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court on 11 June 2015. The harassment occurred at locations in Dublin between August 2012 and February 2013.

The court heard that Nevin contacted his former girlfriend by text, phone, email, fax and handwritten notes, and attended her home and workplace. He also attempted to contact the chief executive of her employer. Judge Martin Nolan said she had suffered significant emotional trauma and warned Nevin that reoffending would result in a lengthy prison term.
