David Moore was held personally liable for employment rights breaches by a Workplace Relations Commission adjudicator, in a decision reported on 3 November 2025.

The adjudicator upheld all but one of Sonya Martin’s complaints, including constructive dismissal, and directed Astronomy Ireland, Moore and three other committee members to pay her €10,784.60 within 42 days.

The award also covered failures concerning statutory sick leave, annual leave, public holidays and a written statement of employment terms. Martin had worked as a manager at Astronomy Ireland before resigning in July 2023; the WRC report said she cited workplace stress and a toxic work environment.
