David Drumm’s prosecution case in a conspiracy to defraud and false accounting trial at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court closed, reported on 15 May 2018.

The State completed 74 days of evidence before the prosecution case ended. Drumm denies the charges and disputes that transactions involving Anglo Irish Bank and Irish Life and Permanent were fraudulent or dishonest.

Judge Karen O’Connor sent the jury home while she considered an application from Drumm’s lawyers in their absence. The jury was due to return the following day, when the judge expected to advise on the remaining timetable.
