Court orders disposal of ‘upside-down’ car abandoned in Ramelton
A disposal order has been made for a car found “upside-down” in Ramelton.
Judge Emile Daly made the order at Letterkenny District Court.
Garda Sergeant Jim Collins told the court that a red Kia Rio was seized at 12.01am open August 27, 2025 in the Ramelton area.
The vehicle was “causing an obstruction” on the road.
Gardai investigated the incident and found that the last registered owner was living in the UK.
Officers made “several attempts” to have the car removed from storage but received “no engagement”, the court heard.
Sergeant Collins sought an order for the vehicle to be forfeited to the State for disposal and Judge Daly granted the request.
