Unnamed Clare man jailed for rape

The 33-year-old Clare man was convicted of rape and acquitted of criminal damage by a jury in his absence after missing the trial’s closing stages in November 2017.

At the Central Criminal Court, he received six and a half years, with the final two years suspended, on 15 March 2022.
