CCC Nuacht copyright case adjourned over infringement

CCC Nuacht Teoranta’s copyright infringement proceedings were adjourned to Ardee District Court on 11 September 2017 for implementation. The proceedings were reported on 13 July 2017. The case concerned four articles published without a licence on TheLiberal.ie between June 2015 and November 2016.

The settlement required Leo Sherlock to publish an apology at the top of the website’s main page and undertake not to reproduce or adapt CCC Nuacht material without a licence. CCC Nuacht said it was considering its position after the apology appeared in a light-pink typeface that was difficult to read.
