Catriona Douglas’s redundancy complaint against PFH Technology Group Ltd was heard by the Workplace Relations Commission, with a decision still to come. The proceedings were reported on 11 March 2025.

Douglas told the WRC that returning to the company’s Cork office from her home in Emyvale, County Monaghan, was impossible. The dispute concerned the end of remote working and the process leading to her redundancy.

The employer said her statutory redundancy payment of €7,788 had been correctly calculated and paid, and argued that her other complaints fell outside the Redundancy Payments Act. The adjudicator said she would issue a decision to the parties by email.
